Terms & Conditions & Returns Policy

These Terms & Conditions apply to all purchases made from Forwood (“we”, “us”, “our”). By placing an order with Forwood, you agree to the terms set out below.
1. About Forwood
Forwood designs and manufactures wooden household goods, furniture, and children’s wooden furniture and equipment. Our products are crafted primarily from natural wood, which means variations in colour, grain, and texture are a natural and expected part of each product.
2. Product Information & Natural Materials
- All Forwood products are made from real wood.
- Natural variations such as knots, grain patterns, and slight colour differences are not defects.
- Product images are for illustration purposes only. Actual products may vary slightly.
- Measurements may have small tolerances due to the handmade nature of our products.
3. Pricing & Payment
- All prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) unless stated otherwise.
- Prices are subject to change without notice.
- Orders will only be processed once full payment has been received.
4. Order Processing & Lead Times
- Many Forwood products are made to order.
- Estimated production and delivery times will be communicated at the time of purchase.
- Delays caused by material availability, courier services, or circumstances beyond our control may occur.
5. Delivery & Collection
- Delivery fees are calculated separately and will be confirmed before dispatch.
- Risk of damage passes to the customer once the order has been delivered or collected.
- Customers must inspect items upon delivery and report any damage within 48 hours.
6. Use, Care & Safety (Children’s Products)
- Adult supervision is required at all times when children use Forwood furniture or equipment.
- Products must be used only for their intended purpose.
- Weight and age limits (where specified) must be strictly followed.
- Forwood is not responsible for misuse, improper assembly, or modifications made after purchase.
RETURNS & REFUNDS POLICY
7. Returns Eligibility
You may return a product if:
- The item is defective
- The item was damaged during delivery
- The incorrect item was supplied
Returns must be requested within 7 days of receiving the product.
8. Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for return or refund:
- Custom-made or made-to-order items
- Items damaged through misuse, neglect, or improper assembly
- Normal wear and tear
- Natural wood variations (grain, colour, knots)
- Items returned incomplete or without original packaging (where applicable)
9. Return Process
To request a return, please contact us with:
- Your order number
- Clear photos of the issue
- A brief description of the problem
Approved returns must be sent back in their original condition.
10. Refunds
- Once the returned item is inspected and approved, a refund will be processed.
- Refunds are issued using the original payment method.
- Delivery fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.
11. Exchanges
- Exchanges are subject to stock availability.
- Custom or made-to-order items cannot be exchanged unless faulty.
12. Cancellations
- Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of placement, provided production has not started.
- Once production has begun, cancellations are not possible for made-to-order items.
13. Limitation of Liability
- Forwood shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
- Our maximum liability is limited to the value of the product purchased.
14. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
